Luxury country retreat on 75 acres in the Scenic Rim, Queensland
Beechmont Estate sits on a 75-acre property in the Scenic Rim, just outside the township of Beechmont near Binna Burra. The estate neighbours the World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park and sits approximately 600 metres above sea level on the Beechmont Plateau, where the volcanic soil and microclimate create conditions six to eight degrees cooler than the Gold Coast, with lush greenery year-round. The property operates as a luxury country retreat with five-star accommodation across multiple cabin and pavilion types: Beechmont Cabins, Hinterland Cabins, Luxury Pavilions, an Accessible Cabin, and The Residence—a 400-square-metre architecturally designed home that sleeps up to eight guests and features panoramic views of Lamington National Park, the Gold Coast hinterland, and the Pacific Ocean. The estate sleeps 48 guests total and welcomes visitors Wednesday to Sunday; Monday and Tuesday are reserved for exclusive bookings including private events, conferences, weddings, and celebrations. At the heart of the property sits the Main Pavilion, home to The Paddock, a chef-hatted restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with menus that celebrate seasonal, locally sourced produce from Queensland's south east. The estate also operates a Day Spa offering organic facials, massage, and body treatments inspired by the Scenic Rim's natural riches. Guests access a range of experiences designed around the estate's natural setting. Walking trails connect to Lamington National Park's Binna Burra section, which offers 13 walks ranging from 30-minute circuits to full-day hikes. Private guided walks through the Gondwana Rainforests are available through EcoTourism Australia certified guides. Gourmet culinary experiences include wine and cheese tastings, picnic hampers, kitchen garden tours, and cocktail masterclasses. Action and adventure offerings span hot air ballooning over the hinterland, golf at the nearby Canungra Golf Club, e-bike rides on the estate grounds, and luxury car hire. The property also hosts corporate retreats and conferences, with flexible meeting spaces including a Clubhouse and Boardroom, alongside team-building activities and tailored catering through The Paddock.
