Ayurvedic centre for personal development in Croatia, led by Hana Vukelić
Sun Do Ayurveda calls itself an Ayurvedic centre for personal development, and carries the line "Boost to transform your life." It is the work of Hana Vukelić, and its services fall into four strands: love and partnership, meditation, Ayurveda and personal growth.
The idea underneath the counselling is Dwesha-Raga therapy. In the centre's account, raga is attachment to something or someone, and the fear, anger, envy and disappointment that grow from it. Dwesha is aversion, which keeps in our lives what we would rather not have there. Ayurveda, the pages say, regards the two as the cause of our suffering. Karmic diagnostics comes first: a method for identifying which attachments, fears and beliefs are at work, consciously or not, before meditation or any other practice begins.
Meditation is where that work goes inward. The guided sessions are meant to relax mind and body and to reach the subconscious, releasing harmful beliefs and emotional conditioning. They can also bring answers as symbols, colours, feelings or a sudden "aha" insight. The centre advises listening before sleep or on waking, and never while working or driving.
The Ayurvedic side includes consultations and a section on women's health and fertility, post-Covid syndrome and degenerative joint disease. There are also workshops and a section on mistakes in love relationships. In 2023 the centre worked with Vaidya Biju Madhavan on his seventh visit to Croatia, from 23 October to 9 November, for consultations, counselling and lectures. The centre says it uses the most authentic and simplest method of diagnosis, and that Ayurveda makes a person responsible for their own health.
One visitor, Suzana Antonic, wrote in a testimonial on the centre's site: "Very kind, helpful and full of compassion and knowledge. Nice atmosphere as well."
