The studio asks for one small thing before a session: arrive a few minutes early. At House of Eden, on Dufourstrasse in Zürich's Seefeld, that time goes to a cup of tea and a foot bath. Phones are silenced, voices are kept low, and the house describes itself as a peaceful oasis for its guests.

The studio calls itself a sanctuary for body, mind and soul, and a boutique massage studio in the heart of Zurich. Its treatments pair traditional Asian massage knowledge with modern wellness principles. Guests can choose a classical relaxation massage, an authentic Thai massage or a deep tissue treatment, and each session is personalised. For Thai massage, loose-fitting trousers and a shirt are provided. In every treatment, only the areas being worked on are uncovered.

The team is made up of massage therapists trained to international standards, and clients are treated only by specialists. The studio is explicit about its conduct: sessions are professional, respectful and friendly. Therapists ask to be told in advance about surgeries, injuries, illness or pregnancy, and the studio lists the conditions under which massage is best avoided.

Walk-ins and last-minute bookings are welcome but not guaranteed, so the studio recommends booking ahead for a specific appointment or treatment. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice.

The studio is open Monday from 12:00 to 19:30, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30 to 19:30, and Saturday from 10:30 to 18:00. It is closed on Wednesday and Sunday. It sits about a five-minute walk from the Zurich Opera House, with street parking nearby and the Utoquai garage a minute away.
